Cultivate is a sustainable planter designed to help people start growing their own produce at home. Made from recycled and natural materials, it features a self-watering system using terracotta’s porous properties. Alongside the product, an online forum connects local growers to share tips, produce and green space, helping build healthier habits and stronger communities.
Designed with sustainability in mind, it features a combination of recycled plastic and plywood. The simple bolt-together construction allows any user to put it together themselves while also making it easy to repair or replace individual parts, ensuring longevity and adaptability.
With the rise of complex, multifunctional devices like smartphones and voice assistants, our understanding of what goes into electronics has faded. This project aims to reclaim functionality from these “catch-all” devices and educate people about the inner workings of everyday items.
