Cultivate

Green Concept Award + Northumbria University
Competition Brief
2025

Cultivate is an in-home planter made from cork, terracotta, and recycled polypropylene. It teaches beginners how to grow their own produce and reduces the need for care by using terracotta's natural moisture-wicking properties. It connects local growers through an online forum to share tips and produce. The modular design promotes reuse and easier recycling, supporting local food growing and reducing the carbon footprint.

Collabrative
Branding Design
2025

Going into my fourth year at Northumbria University, I worked with a small team to create an identity for our year group, something which has become a yearly tradition. Collaborating closely with fellow students, we aimed to produce something bold and distinctive that would help set us apart from the competition. The visual direction took its cues from the file‑naming conventions embedded in our studio workflow and the technology that shaped how we made and shared our work.

Competition Brief

Trains can be difficult for everyone to navigate, especially those with mental health conditions. The companion is a device which helps guide the user through their journey with gentle nudges, just as a friend would. This project was a collaboration between Northumbria University and Innovia Technology. The brief centred around expanding a digital brand (trainline) into physical products and experiences.
